Privacy Policy

Momentum500 Media (“we,” “us,” or “our”) publishes momentum500.com and its newsletter. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and the choices available to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (“CCPA”).

1. Information we collect

In the past 12 months, we have collected these categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers: name, email address, IP address, and cookie or device identifiers.
  • Professional information: job title, if you provide it.
  • Internet activity: pages viewed, referral links, and newsletter opens or clicks.
  • Approximate location: city or region inferred from IP address.

We collect this information directly from you, automatically through your browser or device, and through service providers that help operate the site and newsletter.

We use the information to send requested communications, respond to messages, understand readership, improve and secure the site, advertise Momentum500, measure advertising, and comply with law. At or before collection, we provide notice of the categories and purposes of collection, whether information is sold or shared, and a link to this policy.

We do not collect sensitive personal information.

2. Cookies and advertising

We use necessary cookies to operate and secure the site, Google Analytics to measure readership, and cookies or pixels from Meta and Google to advertise Momentum500 and measure campaigns. These technologies may send those platforms online identifiers, information about your site activity, and approximate location inferred from your IP address.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as described in section 5. We do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

3. How we disclose information

We do not sell personal information. In the past 12 months, we have shared identifiers, internet activity, and approximate location inferred from IP addresses with advertising platforms, including Meta and Google, for cross-context behavioral advertising and campaign measurement. This may be considered “sharing” under the CCPA.

In the past 12 months, we have disclosed the following categories of personal information for business purposes:

  • Identifiers and professional information, such as name, email address, and job title, to email and newsletter providers so they can send requested communications.
  • Identifiers, internet activity, and approximate location, such as IP addresses and page activity, to site hosting, analytics, and security providers so they can operate, measure, and protect the site.

These service providers and contractors may process information for us under contract and as permitted by law. We may also disclose information to authorities when required by law or to protect rights or safety, and in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganization.

4. How long we keep information

We keep names, email addresses, and job titles while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we retain your email address on a suppression list to avoid emailing you again. We keep messages for up to 24 months after our last exchange and online identifiers, internet activity, and approximate location for up to 14 months. We keep information longer when required by law.

5. California privacy rights

California residents may request to know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected; its sources and purposes; and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed, sold, or shared it. They may also request deletion or correction, opt out of its sale or sharing, and exercise these rights without discrimination.

To opt out of sharing, use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link at the bottom of each page or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser. We apply the signal to the browser or device sending it and, if we can identify you as a subscriber, to information associated with your subscription.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit its use.

To submit a request, email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject line and identify the right you wish to exercise. We verify requests by confirming control of the email address involved; opt-out requests do not require verification. You may use an authorized agent with your signed permission.

We confirm receipt of requests to know, delete, or correct within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. When necessary, we may extend the response period by up to 45 additional calendar days and will explain the reason.

6. Children

This site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected it, we will delete it.

7. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will provide notice as required by law.

8. Changes and contact

We will post changes to this policy and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will provide notice on the site or by email.

For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject line.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

California residents can stop the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising at any time, in either of two ways.

  • Email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject line and say that you are opting out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. We apply the signal to the browser or device that sends it and, if we can identify you as a subscriber, to information associated with your subscription.

Opt-out requests do not require verification, and using these choices will not change what you can read: every report stays free.
